Slab continued !

Bit of a surprise when i got there today.

The slab preparation begins

Today was the first ground work for the concrete piers.

Site is looking better every time we visit.

Some of the piers were 3.6m !

Unfortunately the Piers won't be finished until tomorrow.

and lastly our house is to be called - Heartstone

Our new house is surrounded by these fascinating trees.

Cool man, or which fridge ?

The fridge cavity is 1200mm wide but only 750mm deep, water is plumbed to the space but it can't be made deeper. One choice is a pigeon pair of fridge and freezer, simple but effective. However we think we would prefer side by side or french door.

So our favourite fridge is,

Unfortunately at 924L its nearly 900mm deep and sticks out way to far.

Next choice would be,

Much smaller samsung 630L but with a display door, now the concern is price versus space. These  two fridges are by far the best looking in person, both having something special about them.

So we started to think with our head not heart.

The four finalists are;

The last is an Australian made Westinghouse, good price and as a bonus its 1000mm wide, no other fridge is over 900. This would fit perfectly, but we still haven't decided !

Update, we settled on a Samsung 828L french door at the boxing day sales !

Site preparation.

Our site was levelled on Wednesday the 22nd of October.

 They have cleared approx 750 sq..

Then they cleared more.

Softened the edges and formed an area which will become the driveway.

We have begun !

First came the pegs.

Then finally the fence and loo.

Colours

Spent a big day picking colours. Kitchen with black bench tops.

Timber floors, basic tiles and light bench tops in bathrooms

Carpets in bedrooms.

Electrical selections !

Very easy to get carried away at the electrical selection appointment, did ok with only 36 down lights.

Deposit paid, this is the final choice.
